Why Representation Matters

“Representation Matters” is more than just a slogan; it’s the heart of our work. We understand the significance of seeing diverse faces and stories on stage. By embracing and celebrating our differences, we can build bridges of understanding and unity in our community.

Suffragettes and Sunflowers

The Tipping Point green, purple and white brand colors were inspired by the Suffrage movement of the 1900s. Purple represents loyalty, and green represents hope. The women of that time fought for equal rights and that inspired the founders of the Theatre as they are also harbouring equality. The sunflowers seen throughout the website are a nod to Mary Casseatt's painting, Woman with a Sunflower, in which some argue she coined the usage of the Sunflower synonymous with the Suffrage Movement.
